About Greg
Greg has been an active member of LifeRing for over a decade and is celebrating 12 years of sobriety. He discovered LifeRing for over a decade and is celebrating 12 years of sobriety. He discovered LifeRing through Merritt Peralta Institute (MPI) and his involvement with Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS). His passion for recovery grew to include supporting others in recovery through the original LifeRing meeting in Alden Oliver Park. Greg is again inspired to reestablish this meeting to provide vital support to individuals participating in the Kaiser Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP).
Greg highlights the significance of face-to-face interactions on the journey to recovery, expressing reservations about the efficacy of virtual platforms for individuals in early recovery. His belief in the power of personal connections and the shared experience of a group setting underscore his commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for individuals to find strength in community.
